<Hi

With a Bank Holiday approaching and so many dance activities in London and beyond to enjoy, it seems a shame to start this newsletter with a quick message about the General Data Protection Regulation.  Members will receive a fuller email from A2Z.Events but be assured we respect your data and your right to remove it.

This could just be the perfect weekend in London, with the weather set to hold fine and plenty of opportunities to learn to dance at all levels and obviously to party away each evening.

Many members have noticed that although we are London Salsa and predominantly list salsa based activities in London, we do list many venues, classes and parties that have bachata and kizomba rooms, and some are not even based in London.

For instance, when you quote A2Z, you can claim £5 off the Ginga Boo Festival in Milton Keynes on 15-17th June, which is predominantly kizomba, urban kiz, semba and afrohouse.  We hope this interests some members but, if not, scooch down the page for a plethora of salsa events.

Since Gente de Zona made their joyous London debut at a packed Troxy last year the group has gone from strength to strength with the singles Si no Vuelves and their collaboration with Jennifer Lopez with one of the biggest hits of last summer on Ni Tu, Ni Yo. Combining reggaeton with Cuban son and other music of the Caribbean, Gente de Zona have created their own floor-filling rhythm – Cubaton.

Putney salsa and bachata

Friday's session in Putney includes a bachata lesson for all before all-level salsa classes and a lively social.

The Maraca club in Balham has become a popular late nite Friday dance option.

Beware that some of the regular Monday night venues and classes may be shut due to the public holiday.

The rest of the week should be fine, with classes and parties thoughout the midweek, many with a special offer for you.

For instance, a newly listed offer exists for cuban style salsa lessons in North Finchley with Salsa Soul that takes place on Tuesdays.

In Temple, on Tuesday, the FREE taster of dance lesson starts at 7pm, whilst club dancers can book their guest list spot before 4pm.

The home of rueda in London is informally Gabeto in Camden, where levels are at all levels.

Hammersmith salsa

Quote LS126 in Hammersmith for the FREE absolute beginners lesson that takes place contempotaneously to the multiple other level of class. Social dancers are welcome to join the practice session afterwards, leading to fun for all till 11pm.

I will try to get an early newsletter out next week again but heads up that Thursday 31st May is the monthly Thursday after work social in Holborn with Pexava.

Assuming the sun shares its goodness with us, I think all Londoners and our visitors are set for what could be just about the ideal bank holiday, with a balance of outdoor, daytime fun followed with nights of dance,

Wishing all a good one,

Leigh and the London Salsa team
