Salsa is still at home in London

<Hi

Written just 24 hours after the capital was awash with pride for our lads, we in the dance community know that football may not be coming home but rejoice in the knowledge that salsa was, and always will be, at home in the UK.

Over the past month the venues used by some of our teachers and party hosts have shared with throngs of fans. In the vast majority of cases there was perfect harmony, albeit there were reports of a forgotten partner being gently dipped further than expected during penalties, which were being projected on the back wall.

I'd say back to normal but the final 2 matches are this weekend and London Salsa are aware of changes to some schedules, so check before heading out.  But definitely dance this weekend, you deserve it.

For certain this Friday brings salsa and bachata lessons and social in Putney, whilst there is a 2pm finish in Balham for the 2-roomed salsa and kizomba party.

Putney salsa intensive workshop

There is a 3-hour beginners & improvers salsa workshop this Saturday in Putney.

Every Saturday you can take an intensive beginners workshop at Bar Salsa in Soho, with a £5 discount by quoting London Salsa - even better you can take a repeat for free.

Bar salsa Saturday workshop with £5 discount

Saturday evening entertainment includes El Bembe near St Pauls, where you can claim £2 off your entrance fee by quoting London Salsa.

No Classes just pure sexy dancing in Guildford this Saturday - Although listed as a reggaeton night, salsa dancers fear not - they will be playing a combination of all Latin mixes.
Reggeaton, Salsaton, Merengueton, Cumbiaton and much more.

It may be worth checking the dance timings expected at Sunday night venues.
I suspect all will be fine in central London but am aware that the live band night in Richmond has been switched to Sunday 22nd.

Midweek lessons in London are generally followed by a chance to practice and dance socially.

There are lessons in salsa, bachata, kizomba etc. throughout the capital every night, so we invite you to use the Global Dance Card app to access all of the salsa listings on London Salsa.

You will still be able to claim your special offers, simply by revealing your app on the doors of the venue.

Many  members have kids and I am aware that keeping them happy and healthy through the summer is important.  To that end, check out if there is a Fit For Sport activity camp near you this summer.

Fit For Sport

A quick heads up for the Thames Salsa cruise on Sunday 29th July - it is always more expensive to pay on the gate and tickets do run out.  It is a different salsa night that is enormous fun. Get a crowd together and enjoy.

Happy dancing,

Leigh and the London Salsa Team
