This is supposed to be the quiet season yet I'm sending you an early newsletter because there is just so much salsa to fit in.

Before encouraging you to dance more often, I'd remind you to keep hydrated and take regular breaks with further advice in our article "How to look and stay cool on the dance floor".

LondonSalsa are honoured to host the listings for 100s of teachers and promoters, who in turn hope you'll participate in the their drop in lessons or courses, party hard at their clubs, band nights and mega alldayers or relax at their retreats and holidays.

Whether you started your salsa journey looking for a method to stay fit or to meet new people, our aim is to reveal the jewels that you could be enjoying tonight, this weekend, during August and throughout the year.

Look out for the special offers that will help you dance more often.

The weekend starts early with the monthly Pexava Thursday Salsa social at Conway Hall in Holborn. It isn't a coincidence that the newsletter is a day early. I'm earning my night out with friendly hosts, top DJs, a super dance floor, a lesson, undoubtedly a show or two, plenty of On2 and On1 partners and most importantly orange wedges at the end of the night.

Fancy some al fresco salsa this Thursday, then head to Spitalfields Market for 6pm for a free taster lesson or 6.30pm for the social.

Putney Salsa club this Friday night has lessons in salsa and bachata followed by a social. Beginners get a free first session, the code is within the listing.

Saturday's offering includes a Jeans and White Salsa and Kizomba Fiesta in Brentwood.

Over in Stratford, DJ Hughie takes the helm for the free night of latin sounds whilst Salsatricity offer salsa, bachata and kizomba lessons and multi-room social till 1am in Barnet.

Central London salsa dancers can claim £2 off the El Bembe party near St.Pauls simply by quoting London Salsa

The Thames Salsa Cruise is on Sunday.
Watch the sunset as you sip a drink on the back deck, then see the river sparkle as the city lights up; all the while listening to some great salsa music to entice you back on the lively dance floor.

Editors note - I've been several times and can highly recommend booking early as there may not be tickets on the evening.

Just a quick reminder that some salsa schools opt to shut during August, so please check with your local hosts whether they are holidaying.

On Monday there is a special offer for members and visitors on Cuban salsa lessons in Deptford.

For certain Wimbledon salsa and bachata club is on Monday.

Tuesday's selection includes salsa and rueda lessons in Camden with Streetbeat.

There is a free intro to salsa lesson at 7pm at Bar Salsa in Temple, followed by lessons in salsa and bachata with a seperate room for kizomba.

Hammersmith has a special offer for first time beginners plus lessons at all levels on Wednesday. whilst there is a free intro to dance session available at Bar Salsa in Soho. A late night dance session follows multiple levels of class in both bachata and salsa.

Caramelo's August 4-week courses start in the coming week in Paddington.
On Wednesday the offering is Salsa, Mambo, Cha Cha and Kizomba.
For Thursday the courses include styling classes and salsa.

Certainly the London Latinfest on 24-27th August is something special to anticipate and definitely worth booking in advance to take best advantage of the vast array of workshops and parties.
