Welcome to the Summer 2021 newsletter, where the London Salsa team are hoping you are mentally and physically fit and, possibly, ready to go out dancing again.

Each of you have your own opinions about personal and community risk around the pandemic and thus where you may choose to dance.
Similarly each of the dance teachers and event hosts will be considering exactly how to provide excellent entertainment within official guidance, venue requirements, their own team's situations and, naturally, your safety and comfort.

I can report excellent feedback this week from various sources, reporting that some venues are taking steps to return to the old normal, whilst others are maintaining safety measures beyond the current guidelines.

I urge you to read thoroughly how each host is describing their salsa lessons/events and decide for yourself whether each event could match your circumstances, level of comfort or desire to hit the dance floor with gusto.

We are currently only including, below, real life salsa events where the hosts have specifically given us permission us to promote their events but you can find others listed on

Your mental and physical health are most important.
Please dance, whether at home or with others, as you really will feel happier.

I think sunflowers make people smile.
So I've persuaded friends and club members to plant more sunflowers hoping to create more smiles.

I know salsa dancers smile a lot anyway.
However, can I ask when you see one in a window or garden, perhaps even in a strange place, please smile and tell others why.
Maybe join the Sunflower Gang Facebook Group.

It is a long time since I've been able to say this but hopefully see you on a dance floor in the coming week,

Leigh and the London Salsa Team
