In 1997, a collection of people directly affected by acquired brain injury (ABI) and professionals working in neurological rehabilitation, identified a absence of long-term support for people with ABI in Hackney and the surrounding area. In an attempt to provide support to those in the local community, Headway East London was born.
Our catchment area covers thirteen London Boroughs: Barking & Dagenham; Camden, The City of London; Enfield; Hackney, Haringey; Havering; Islington; Newham; Redbridge; Tower Hamlets; Waltham Forest; and Westminster.
