The place is absolutely "WOW". The instructors are fantastic, really friendly and funny (TAMAMBO & MIRIAM forever!!). Another important thing is the level of dancers.. They all look professional. I have been to quite a few other places but this gathers by far the best dancers in London. Also, the DJ (don't know his name, white guy with glasses) plays AMAZING music.

Only con: no air-conditioning but this is not enough to remove one chilly!
Great place, well done guys!

ATTENTION! IT'S NO MORE AT Mary Ward House but in ROYAL HOTEL (2 min walk from the previous location)!

Big dance floor. Full of many REALLY experienced dancers, definitely NOT for beginners. Style is cross body. No air con (be prepared to sweat your soul!).

Was in london for Sunday night from Ireland and Tamambo replied to my inquiry really promptly and remembered me at the door. So really welcoming especially since I was there on my own! Class was really good with lots of attention to detail and footwork. Club session was really great fun. GREAT dancers and really friendly. Would definitely recommend it to the gang back here in ireland as THE place to go.ENJOY!

did the intermediate class and was pitched at a good level. they had a male and female teacher so the guys were taught the correct lead and the girls were taught to follow to a high standard. one of few companies that stress the importance of tension.

This is a really friendly club. The standard of teaching is excellent and I find it generally attracts really good dancers. There are a handful of snobs who tend to stand by the stage, but then you will get them anywhere. My friends and I drive nearly two hours each way to attend most sundays - that says it all!!!

I went to SOS for the frist time at the end of November. I'd never really fancied it to be honest and had heard that it was a bit unfriendly and that the dancing was to a very hight standard but a bit mechanical. Anyway I read some posts on the forum saying that really it wasn't unfriendly at all, so I took a small group down with me and gave it a try. I can honestly say that i had the best night out dancing I've ever had in London, maybe I was lucky but every lead was fantastic. I even got to dance a pretty good bachata. It was such a good night i'm scared to go back as I don;t think it could be repeated.

Great classes, large dance floor. Level 3 class was absolutely packed is such a high level. Was very hot (no air con). Could do with more seats around the side, so we can be more sociable. Some pretentious people there (i.e. salsa mafia). Lacks the club atmosphere, but it's one of the best salsa places on Sunday.

excellent classes. Good spirts and quite comfortable and friendly. all teachers are excellent at what they do and friendly. The down side is nothing but soft drinks and the some classes sometimes have far to many men and not enought ladies which can make it hard to learn the moves when you not always have a partner. They do make the effort to mix people in other classes after the lessons so you can see and dance at all levels. Overall a good night.

A Genuinely good place to spend your sunday evening dancing to good salsa music and very good salsa dancers. If you like mostly mambo new york style, SOS is the place to go.

I have noticed that there is also an emphasis on styling in the classes, not just dancing for dancing sake. If you like to learn body movement and styling, then SOS is one of the places to visit as they have wicked teachers.

I started going there on and off for about 6 months now and I always have a great time. If you want to go out and just DANCE to some serious salsa (forget drinking, flirting...), SOS is the place for you. There is just one problem: with so many good dancers, it's so difficult to leave the place...

A very large quality dance floor, high quality tuition at all levels ? including one class "by invitation only", cloakroom ?1 per item, bar serves reasonably priced soft drinks. Club afterwards, DJ & music are good; volume is at a comfortable level. There are lots of very good dancers here and some familiar faces (if you dance in London on a regular basis). You can purchase Salsa DVD's (Leon Rose with Susana Montero) here too ?20 a pop.

although music can sometimes be off and the floor crowded, SOS offers the best odds of having good dances. on a good night it merits a 5 star rating.

I went there reluctantly as i had heard that sos is full of snobs. So far that has turned out to be not tru. Largely, i have found the crowd friendly and found girls for the most part to be quite good followers. So for now SOS is right up there with Mario's Monday nights for me.

There is a decent chance that at SOS you will hear nothing but salsa all night without endless stream of the same old tired songs that gets overplayed elsewhere. Dance floor is large and there are many dancers, who are excellent LA/NY/London stylists although I found that most can follow any style I want to lead. I like the absence of drunkards and tobacco. I've visited SOS four times this year coming from Cambridge (~3 hours commute by car) and always had a great time.

Went to SOS tonight, did the advanced class and then left way before 11pm. All I can say is everyone there dances the same (i.e severely lacking in musicality, merely repeatedly dancing the same routines - yawn). The most contrived dancing I have ever seen in one room. Mambo, and cross- body generally, does not have to look this contrived, but for some reason SOS is full of soul-less, unoriginal, boring dancers. Even watching the teachers is like watching paint dry: when will this monotony within salsa end??!!

Serious salsa. But fun. Challenging classes. No aircon. Frequently not much room to dance, as it's packed.

This is still one of favourite Salsa venues of the week. And it's because it's all about Salsa and nothing else!
It's not a pretentious clubs (aka meat market), but just an amazing dance floor and loads of people who are only there for one thing: to dance ...

Wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone ...
