A SALSA STORM..& KIZOMBA KALMMMMMmmmmm.. — at Salsatricity.
Because we are a Saturday night venue and want to ensure we have a top night every week so we always hire venues of a high standard...exclusively...with a a wooden dance floor
Even though we are a Saturday venue...we will always provide top quality teaching ...in at least 3 dance genre and a fourth for fun and @Salsatricity just £8 for 2 classes (NUS £5) plus club unitl 1am..I...with top teachers and Djs...often international and having achieved a high standard in their own right...in reality the classes are free... but to us it is so important to keep teaching and introducing new folk to dance ...and we do not watn to provide just token lessons..we believe the classes are a great way to meet new dance partners and add a little extra to your freestyle dancing....and love the fact the students meet the club dancers either in class or on the dance floor...
We are here every week..and although every week is different..we have always tried to keep giving special party nights....it used to be in the form of band nights but have listened to feedback and are working out a way to still provide a regular special party nights once every 4-6 weeks....but still on a Saturday.....We introduce a special Djs or teachers..sometimes a show or provide a drink with the ticket...and to date they have been some of our best nights...
There are a lot of dancers who cannot/do not want to travel to the West End/European congresses...so we bring a little bit of the Westend and Congresses to you in the form of our international Djs Teachers and Workshops..and love the fact we get the Westend dancers joining us
....Our Skyball/special party nights are also a chance to have a theme and dress up accordingly..because it is a Saturday and it is a Party night....as well as a school night!! xx

One of the the wonderful thing about dance is...it is for all...and is perfect for singles or couples....you do not need a partner and can go to any of our dance classes on your own........ask folk to dance without any implications...whilst meeting new friends...keeping fit and your bank balance healthy tooooo...

(when we have to use an alternative venue it is of the same standard with a wooden floor rather than canceling for the night)
We are here every week..and although every week is different..we have always tried to keep giving special party nights....it used to be in the form of band nights but the general feedback was tracks were toooo long and the neighbours felt they were too loud!!..but have been working out a way to still provide a more party nights..but still on a Saturday.........when we can introduce a special Djs or teachers..maybe a show or provide a drink with the ticket...and to date they have been some of our best nights...
Over the last 2 years we have introduced 2 extra dance genre on a permanent basis plus tasters to improve your understanding and techniques in dance and provided numerous workshops to extend this......we have added the kizomba room ...yet still kept the quality of teaching /classes high priority and do not reducing that aspect ..even on a party night....often add to it....it ensures a continual stream of new dancers to the dance world...and partners for you...
There are a lot of dancers who cannot/do not want to travel to the West End/European congresses...so we bring them to you..in the form of our London/International Teachers and Djs and the Skyball party nights are also a chance to have a theme and dress up accordingly

...so lovely to see you all xxxxx as always and my sore feet tell me thank you to everyone....had a gorgeous gorgeous gorgeous start to my birthday...one of my fav times was when To Tó Costa D'Angola dragged me into the warm down and as every guy moved on they gave me a hug a kiss and said happy birthday xxxxxxxxxx I had an awesome time tooo and thank you so much to the team for making sure that happened xxxxx didnt dance as much as I would loved to....would have needed to be till there now to have danced with everyone I wanted...so many of my favorite dancers and folk there x THANKYOU for being one of them ..for my cards presents dances hugs kisses and more

What a weekend ...Saturday & Sunday September 1st/2nd
Thank you ...Thank you ...catching up with dancing friends...meeting new ones and dabbling in new dances...I arrived at 7am..in the rain...which continued on and off whilst I was setting up......until 10.15...when in defiance...I put some salsa music on...it lifted folks spirits...and the clouds..and it was a truely gorgeous warm day xx
Thank you so much to ERICK THE SAINT..DONNY & NATHALIE...JASON CANNING...DJ and teach...and the only noise complaint we had was at the beginning...it was not loud enough!!

It was just over a year ago Kizomba was introduced to Salsatricity....in January we added a completely beginners class 8-8.40...with in a few weeks another at same time as the main class to give Kizomba @Salsatricity a firm foundation...
I am aware it meant we had to put other genres of dance on hold for a while..and thank you for your patience...but think it was worth it..
LOVE kizomba @Salsatricity....
..but they are back..especially Bachata with a regular class now in place for 8-8.40..because we love Bachata too...

No-Shows:
Anyone who does not attend disrupts the balance of the class for the other participants. Please let us know before 2pm of the previous day if you are unable to attend.

In the unlikely event SALSATRICITY cancels the course we will refund your payment.

Please also be aware that dance is a physical activity and people should understand that they participate at their own risk. SALSATRICITY cannot be held accountable for any injuries or illness that may arise from participating in classes or class related activities. If in doubt about your physical health, please consult a qualified doctor.
Should any problems occur during the course, participants shall immediately stop and inform the instructors. Appropriate clothing and footwear is essential. We may ask for any inappropriate heels/jewellery/items of clothing to be removed during the course in the interest of safety.
Filming and Photography:
These terms and conditions include your agreement to any filming/ photographing of the course and you hereby give all consents necessary for the reproduction, exhibition and use of the material recorded. Salsatricity are entitled to edit any footage/photography. However we will consider any personal request and at all times seek to show SALSATRICITY and our clients in the best possible light.
Dancing Etiquette:
Dancing can be energetic and, for the benefit of all dancers, we recommend you obtain wet wipes or a flannel/towel to wipe and dry yourself with throughout the lesson. Using wet wipes or a flannel/towel is perfectly acceptable, as dancing can be very physical and can cause even the fittest person to sweat. Extra tops may be appropriate.

LONDON SALSA REVIEW
“At London Salsa we like to keep up with all things Salsa happening in London so we went along to Salsatricity on Saturday night in Barnet. Heather and her team teach {mainly Cuban and cross body beginners and improvers...then advanced and intermediate is a mix}….concentrating on footwork and understanding rather than routines. Being a trained school teacher she understands learning and has more men than women at the class (is that a first for a Salsa class?), and judging by the amount of good men dancers, she seems to be doing a great job. On this night she also ran a Bachata class. The club was buzzing. Around 120+ attended but there was still enough room for the dancers to stretch themselves. The music was first class, being provided by DJ Julian ‘The Duke’, and the age range was an even mix from 20s right up to 60s. It was a great night with a very friendly atmosphere and some great dancing. You should check it out, we’ll be going again. LS”
REVIEW BY LONDON SALSA...and we are still getting plenty of guys in our classes...so ladies no need to worry about finding one to bring xxx unless you want to that is!!! xxxx a great credit to all our teachers...its the place to learn and improve in Salsa & Kizomba xx

So love getting feedback from the club...but when it's as positive as this and from folk who have been dancing a while I know we are doing something right...was good to see Gordon and Cheryl too Saturday night and hear their comments :-) ...they are beautiful dancers and have given so much to the dance world
..and big welcome To Costa...adding an Angolan influence and an understanding of dancing to the music...when dancing kizomba and salsa ......in fact any dance .......it is so much more than just learning routines/steps...its about dancing with your partner to the music...feeling the music and making sure your partner enjoys the ride... it does not have to be flash...fancy ...complicated...showy...."just dance with me" runs through my head sometimes on the dance floor!! xx and you dont have to be an advanced dancer to make me want to come back for more!! xx xx
which leads me onto dancing etiquette....always a good one to be reminded of....
ahhh dancing etiquette....some times overlooked in the rush to get those moves sorted....but oh so important too..
*1....you may ask and be asked by anyone...there are few grounds for refusal and usually its nice to seek them out later .....
* 2. dance in the space you have...don't do the moves you want!!...which is why having a few Cuban ones are so helpful to your arsenal on a busy dance floor...
* 3. dance with the partner you have...eye contact...keeping her {him..we all have a resonsibility} SAFE...is paramount..I still suffer from an injury incurred 4 years ago by a killer stilletto!.....
* 4 personal space...there are ways to dance with some that you would/should never do with others!!
* 5...not finally but you may be getting bored by now.....personal hygene...as the nights hot up...not only in the summer...it is oh so important!!!......we have gum at the club and extra tops/deoderant/perfume/etc etc etc is a must...please!! xxxx dancing with a sweaty partner is acceptable but there are limits...sorry! xx..

Review by LONDON SALSA...and we are still getting plenty of guys in our classes...so ladies no need to worry about finding one to bring xxx unless you want to that is!!! xxxx a great credit to all our teachers...its the place to learn and improve in Salsa & Kizomba xx
LONDON SALSA REVIEW
“At London Salsa we like to keep up with all things Salsa happening in London so we went along to Salsatricity on Saturday night in Barnet. Heather and her team teach {mainly Cuban and cross body beginners and improvers...then advanced and intermediate is a mix}….concentrating on footwork and understanding rather than routines. Being a trained school teacher she understands learning and has more men than women at the class (is that a first for a Salsa class?), and judging by the amount of good men dancers, she seems to be doing a great job. On this night she also ran a Bachata class. The club was buzzing. Around 120+ attended but there was still enough room for the dancers to stretch themselves. The music was first class, being provided by DJ Julian ‘The Duke’, and the age range was an even mix from 20s right up to 60s. It was a great night with a very friendly atmosphere and some great dancing. You should check it out, we’ll be going again. LS”
